Tommy Purdy
Civil Engineer
Tommy began his career in 2019 as an apprentice within a residential civils team, before moving to multi-disciplinary consultancy Ridge and Partners LLP in 2022. He joined AMA in 2026, bringing experience across a range of schemes including student residential, high-rise, schools, care homes and commercial developments.
His experience includes the design and modelling of drainage and highway packages, preparing flood risk assessments, and supporting projects through to delivery. He takes pride in building strong working relationships and navigating competing stakeholder requirements.
At AMA, he contributes civil engineering expertise across residential and commercial schemes, with a particular interest in highways. He is currently completing his civil engineering degree part-time and working towards chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
Outside of work, he has a passion for plants (including growing his own tomatoes) and enjoys cooking, reading and painting. When not immersed in a good book, he can often be found out walking his puppy, Pippin.
