Transport Assessment, Travel Plan, Access Design and Section 278, Stopping Up Section 247, Air and Noise Assessment Traffic Data
AMA provided highways and transportation advice relating to the re-development of a brownfield site for a new Starbucks Drive-Thru, Greggs and Dominoes on a new mini retail park at Agnes Street, Stanley.
The retail park proposed access from Station Road with the requirement for the stopping up of some areas of public highway and public rights of way to accommodate the required access proposals.
AMA successfully argued that a Transport Statement would be sufficient to support the proposals at planning application stage, working with the Local Highway Authority to identify the scheme impact and required highways mitigation. Key inputs included:
- Achieving a successful highways strategy to a successful planning conclusion;
- Identification of revised site access proposals and anomalies in adopted highway and land ownership;
- Undertaking the Stopping Up process with Department for Transport to transfer public highway to its original ownership to enable scheme delivery.
- Preparing suitable AADT and AAWT traffic data for Air and Noise Assessments.
