Project Overview
AMA provided Bellway Homes with transportation related support to accompany a detailed planning application for a residential development of 127 dwellings in Church Fenton, the scheme was consented.
AMA prepared a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan for the site, liaising with NYCC Highways to seek an agreeable site access layout which met visibility requirements given the speed and alignment of the main road fronting the site.
In addition to the TA and TP, AMA also provided advice on the internal site layout to ensure the agreed layout was suitable for Section 38 detailed design and adoption post planning consent.
Key Inputs / Outcomes
- Early discussions were held with NYCC Highways on the site to agree an appropriate scope and the principles of the site access given the numerous constraints on Busk Lane and a layout that would be commercially deliverable.
- AMA agreed a site access design, with pedestrian crossing to NYCCs requirements (NYCC bespoke access matrices used) which would be deliverable under a Section 278 agreement, also taking this through the various Road Safety Audit Stages.
- A number of Highways Technical Notes / Rebuttals were submitted to NYCC Highways as part of the consultation period, ultimately securing a highways recommendation of no objection.
