Project Overview
AMA initially provided highways and transportation advice on the proposed re-development of a former industrial site in Guiseley, assisting our client obtain planning consent.
Following consent AMA provided a full suite of detailed design for roads, drainage and sewer adoptions through the Section 38 / 104 process with LCC Highways.
Key Inputs / Outcomes
- The key element of this site was to initially agree visibility splays which required speed survey analysis and visibility cross section design to ensure no vertical masking to / from the site access.
- AMA provided both private drive and adopted road design layouts at planning stage to maximise the developability and quantum on site.
- Following the granting of planning consent, AMA undertook a detailed engineering appraisal of the site assessing existing drainage layouts, utilities locations and attenuation requirements on site.
- Based on the engineering appraisal AMA then undertook a cut / fill exercise in Civils 3D to determine plot / drainage / gradients levels which tied in with the existing highway.
- AMA then prepared the full suite of detailed design drawings for the S38 / S104 process and submitted these successfully to LCC Highways with agreement from Yorkshire Water.
