Transport Statement

Project Overview

AMA was appointed by Quorn Foods UK to prepare a Transport Statement for a proposed £7m Research and Development Centre located in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.

The facility is proposed to develop both new and existing products and aims to assist the business in further increasing the move to meat free products and achieve a £1bn turnover.

In addition, the business saw the opportunity for rationalisation of the existing FMCG facility to the south and AMA assisted with revised parking layouts, HGV routing and changes to the general manoeuvres throughout the site to create a more efficient logistical layout and direct cost savings on fuel by reducing the number and distance of onsite vehicle movements.

The site successfully achieved planning consent.

Key Inputs / Outcomes

  • AMA undertook and appraisal of the existing Quorn manufacturing facility, recommending changes to the internal layout and its logistical arrangements. These recommendations were implemented as part of the planning application and have passed on significant long term cost savings by implementing small but significant changes to the existing operation.
