Section 104, Section 278
Project Overview
AMA were commissioned to provide the detailed Design of the access works associated with the planning permission for the formation of a new site access site off Haslmere Road to a new agricultural land use.
AMA prepared the Section 278 drawings and Section 104 for Technical Approval, also taking the drawings through the construction process on site with the clients appointed contractor.
Key Inputs / Outcomes
- To minimise construction costs, AMA liaised with statutory undertakers through the C2 to C4 process including trial pitting to justify no diversions were required.
- AMA provided a Principal Designer’s role under the CDM regulations 2015 to plan, manage and monitor the pre-construction phase as well as to co-ordinate Health and Safety and site technical support.
- AMA also prepared the Traffic Management Proposals, progression and submission of all necessary NRASWA notices with the Highway authority in advance of the works being constructed.
- AMA produced a Bill of Quantities with the appointed QS to take the scheme through tender.
- All Road Safety Audit Stages to accommodate any amendments required to the proposed designs.
