We assess both new and existing development parking provisions in line with Local Highway Authority design guidelines and standards to ensure that a suitable bespoke strategy can be developed for a site. This may be seeking a non-car development, rationalisation of parking or the technical justification of additional parking above the generally accepted standards should demand outstrip supply.
By undertaking a parking accumulation assessment, we can assess existing provisions through a survey of existing use, then forecast future use should the site expand or demand increase to determine the required level of parking for the development. As an example, we undertake assessments of multi-mixed-use developments forecasting peaks of daily usage throughout the day as a combined development which is then used to justify the level of provision to the Local Highway Authority.
